AUDIO; EASTER, TIME OF NEW BEGINNING

In the prologue to his Gospel, John deliberately echoes the language of Genesis 1:1-3 to show that Jesus is not only the Christ but the Creator, not only the light of the world but the light that shone out of darkness at the beginning of time. Thus Jesus also creates a new spiritual beginning, the New Covenant by which those who put their trust in Him. receive newness of life and eternal security.
