The tragedy and triumph of Christmas

The tragedy of the incarnation of Christ lay in his rejection .... the failure to recognize him as the long-promised Messiah. We examine in depth the reasons behind this rejection and discover the triumph of the incarnation, namely,  Christ's ability, then and now, to bestow on sinners the privilege of becoming children of God, with all that that entails.
